Holkesvig knows tech and marketing, having worked for huge companies in Silicon Valley like IBM and Transamerica. So, after became a Realtor, she excelled at creating her own database and implementing a CRM system, a listings marketing strategy, and email campaigns. This in addition to her client communication and negotiating skills helped Holkesvig quickly become a consistent top-producing agent, selling more than 50 homes a year in California’s Central Valley.
With so much self-initiative, she eventually came to realize that most brokerages – including her previous brokerage, Grupe Real Estate – don’t provide enough organizational and foundational support. This creates a situation where agents end up having to do everything, she explains. “They were great to me, but I was paying them almost 18 percent and wasn’t getting a lot of benefit from that.”
Then Holkesvig started looking into Keller Williams. When she read about Command, the company’s comprehensive operating system, she was taken aback. “I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is what I’ve been looking for for years,’” she says. “I think it’s going to be a game-changer.”
Not only does Keller Williams provide the best tech, but Holkesvig has also found a special relationship with Team Leader Michele Zaragoza, who truly supports her business and has the technical know-how to help her succeed. This, she says, is uncommon at other firms.
Since Holkesvig made the move to Keller Williams, she is focusing more on what she loves most: marketing, referrals, and lead generation. And, it’s KW’s systems and tech that she says provide her with the time to do so. She’s also excited to transfer her massive database over to a more efficient platform. “Having everything automated, at your fingertips, is going to be a huge plus,” she says. “Keller Williams is anticipating what agents need.”
