For 15 years, Keller Williams Capital Properties founder and chief executive officer Bo Menkiti has watched Senate Realty founder James Williams assemble his business into a company that is committed to transforming the lives of its associates and community. That is, in addition to being a company with more than $37.5 million in sales volume and 162 units for 2019. Now, Menkiti and Williams have gone from friends to business partners as leading D.C. independent brokerage Senate Realty joins Keller Williams Capital Properties.
“There is an African proverb that says, ‘If you want to move fast, go alone; if you want to move far, go together,’” Williams shares. “I am taking a long-term view of how I can move my team further and more efficiently, and the leadership, learning culture, and family atmosphere of KWCP was the best choice for our team.”
Uniting forces was a long time coming for Williams and Menkiti, who started their real estate careers around the same time, albeit focusing on different areas of the market. When their paths crossed professionally and they worked together on transactions, the experience was always great. “I was extremely impressed by his vision and willingness to share ideas and resources,” Williams says.
With the move, 29 real estate professionals will now call Keller Williams Capital Properties – a regional brokerage consisting of eight office locations with $2.3 billion in closed sales volume for 2019 – home. As they are able to maintain their existing culture and branding, the team will bring its own flair to KWCP, an aspect Williams shares is very important to them.
In joining, the team will not just find itself able to access a robust tech offering, but also world-class education and training in an environment that prides itself on empowering agent entrepreneurs through business and wealth-building models and systems.
“Joining KWCP has allowed me to leave the day-to-day operations and administration of running a business,” Williams says. “This is giving me more time to focus on assisting my team members to grow their business and allowing me to focus on my business as well.”
“For years we have been using multiple technologies to support our business,” Williams says. “We are excited about the KW Command platform that allows a single sign-on to run our business more efficiently. KWCP is committed to being the best in class in real estate technology, and we are excited to learn more as it evolves.”
