Pam Bornhorst

With $19 million in production volume and 71 units sold for 2019, you’d think Pam Bornhorst is operating out of a large urban market. Instead, the 30-year real estate veteran set shop in Troy, Ohio, a city whose population rests at about 26,000 residents, but with plenty of agent representation. Nonetheless, 20 years ago, Bornhorst became the top-producing agent in her county – a title that has withstood the test of time. Joining Keller Williams alongside her team of 15 agents, Bornhorst aims to leverage her industry expertise and help her agents thrive.

“The most important aspect of this move for me was having some form of ownership within my own company,” Bornhorst says. “The move to Keller Williams is very motivating to me – to have my own company here, and help young and experienced agents alike succeed.”

For Bornhorst, coming to Keller Williams was an exciting, albeit unexpected turn. She wasn’t actively looking for a change, but when she was asked, “Where do you see yourself in the next five years?” during a conversation, she realized there was no plan. With that realization in mind, she honed in on a training path for her agents, and chose Keller Williams as her trusted new home.

“I believe in providing realtors with the tools they need to become successful and independent, as does Keller Williams’ arsenal of trainings and marketing features,” says Bornhorst  “My experience, combined with Keller Williams’ training opportunities, has the unstoppable potential to create strong, accomplished real estate professionals.”

About a year ago, Bornhorst started noticing a need among her agents. “They would ask me questions and I noticed how many of them were going to classes, but didn’t really know how to do business,” she says. “I was feeling the urge to help people, which really played into me owning my own company and taking on a mentoring role.”

In her opinion, training generally comes in extremes – the companies that put you in classroom settings and leave room for zero hands-on training, and those that tout big commissions but offer minimal strategies for getting there.

“Keller Williams offers the perfect blend,” she says. “You’re going to get all the training you want, and we have all the tools to do it. I’m really happy to bring Keller Williams here, and I’m already loving the move.”
