Davis and Annette Holt are a formidable mother-son real estate duo. Together, they have 35 years of experience serving clients in the Raleigh-Durham area. Annette first got in the business to help a builder and friend who was developing a subdivision. “I was a college professor and thought that selling houses on the side sounded like a lot of fun. It was, and I got hooked,” says Annette, who grew to become a RE/MAX Hall of Fame Member and RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.
A couple decades later when Davis graduated college, he joined the family business, something he was clearly born to do. In 2019, Davis was named one of REALTOR Magazine’s top “30 Under 30” and did about $12 million in individual production. He currently serves on the North Carolina Association of Realtors Board of Directors after serving on the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors Board of Directors. He is a graduate of the Triangle Realtors Leadership Academy, where he was named Dean of Class in 2019. In addition, he’s a multi-year member of the Realtors Political Action Committee.
The pair take pride in holding their clients’ hands every step of the way through the buying and selling process. Because they trust each other so much, that confidence transfers well to their clients. Many of them become lifelong friends, so their business is mostly word-of-mouth and has grown to about 80% referrals and $30 million annually. They’re each drawn to problem solving, and love working together to overcome the obstacles and hurdles that are part and parcel of every real estate transaction.
Now that they’re looking to grow their team, they’ve made the leap from RE/MAX to Keller Williams where they can tap into time-tested models and systems. “We love how Keller Williams sees agents as business owners and provides the tools and systems to help us grow into that role … all while we continue to increase our production,” Davis says. Right now, they have two administrative assistants and a buyer’s agent with the goal to significantly add to and grow their team in the coming months and years. They confess that they’ve been challenged to find the time and resources to get their team members the training they need and want. Annette adds, “Keller Williams’ agent training programs are renowned, and we’re excited to be able to have access to them and provide them to our team. We are focused on growth and expansion. We know that Keller Williams has the structure to help us shift much of the production to our team and set them on their own paths to success.”
