When people in Columbus, Ohio, think about buying or selling a home, they can’t help but think of The Susan Wainfor Group. Wainfor is an icon in Columbus and with 122 transactions in 2019 she is #16 in volume out of 8,000 agents across the Columbus Board of Realtors. She dreamed of being a real estate agent – showing homes and helping families make their dreams come true – when she was a little girl and has joyfully and successfully fulfilled that calling for more than 30 years.
Wainfor and her team of nine made the move to Keller Williams Consultants Realty in January after three decades with HER Realty, a large independent brokerage in central Ohio. Wainfor was drawn to Keller Williams by the selfless and giving nature of the KW community. “Dana Gentry (operating principal) and Troy Marsh (team leader) have a value system that is unmatched and aligns well with my own core values,” she said. When the team’s office manager was retiring, Marsh stepped in to help Wainfor with hiring. “This was before I’d even joined KW,” Wainfor affirms. “He just wanted to help me use tried-and-true systems to find the right person. He went out of his way to help.”
Keller Williams’ investment in technology, agents, and education were other key factors in the team’s decision. Wainfor explains, “I place a high value on technology and Keller Williams is unparalleled in this arena.” Gentry invited Wainfor to an Austin event where she heard Gary Keller speak. “I was just so impressed with his authentic care and concern for agents and how he is working to protect our industry with investments in technology that strengthen our relationships.”
The team has hit the ground running and is embracing the vast educational opportunities. Wainfor adds, “I believe there is an opportunity for all of us to share our expertise through collaboration and education while bringing a new energy that will take our business to the next level. My team and I look forward to many years of success with the KW family.”
