Pueblo, Colorado, native Jami Baker-Orr loves her community and has helped thousands of others love it too. She and her team of five agents and five admins have been catering to the needs of residential, investment, land, and commercial buyers and sellers in the area for 19 years.
Baker-Orr bought her first investment property at age 27. She got her real estate license so she could learn about the marketplace and buy more investment properties, but when she subdivided three parcels of land and started working with a local home builder to put new construction homes on them, her love for real estate took over.
Led by their mantra, “Excellence Is Never an Accident,” the Jami Baker-Orr Team consistently ranks first in team production in the Pueblo MLS. In 2019, they closed 246 units and $42 million in production. In a market with 656 agents, Baker-Orr is perennially No. 1. In March 2018, after years with RE/MAX, Baker-Orr became a co-owner of Keller Williams Performance Realty in the Pueblo market center. She was drawn to the close-knit family culture that KW encourages and loves that everyone in the organization is always trying to help each other. Reflecting on earlier years in her career, she offers, “Being a number-one producer in a small town meant that not that many people were willing to help me get better at my craft. But even in doing well, being average has never been good enough for me. I always want to excel, and Keller Williams helps our team do that.”

“I love sharing my ups and downs, teaching and seeing agents’ faces light up when they have an ‘aha’ moment,” she shares. “I want every agent to know that anything is possible. In 2006, when the real estate industry changed and I was reinventing my business just so I could pay my mortgage and feed my children, I never thought I couldn’t be number one someday.”
